Regenerative farming practices
Alexandre Family Farm is the first dairy farm in the United States to be certified Regenerative Organic. This means that we use farming practices that have been proven by third-party certifiers to: improve soil health, water quality, and biodiversity.
Regenerative farming is a holistic approach to farming that goes beyond organic practices to improve the health of the soil, water, air, and biodiversity. This can lead to a number of benefits for human health, the environment, and the economy.

Grass-fed Cows
Alexandre Family Farm dairy comes from grass-fed cows, which means they eat a diet of grass and hay. This is in contrast to many other dairy farms that feed a diet that primarily consists of grain.
Grass-fed cows are healthier than grain-fed cows. They have lower levels of fat and cholesterol, and they are more resistant to disease. Grass-fed milk is also higher in omega-3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which have a number of health benefits.

Certified Organic - No pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers
Alexandre Family Farm milk is certified organic, which means it is produced without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. Such chemicals can have harmful effects on human health, the environment, and the cows.
Organic milk is also higher in nutrients than non-organic milk.

100% A2/A2 Dairy
Alexandre Family Farm cows only produce A2 beta-casein protein. From some people, this protein is easier to digest than the A1 beta-casein protein that is common in most milk produced in America.

Certified Humane
Alexandre Family Farm is certified humane and uses compassionate animal health practices. We love our animals and treat them with the utmost care and respect.
"Certified humane" means we meet the strict standards for animal welfare set by that certifier. Certified Humane sets standards related to cows' access to fresh water, shelter, and pasture.
The standards are enforced through annual inspections conducted by scientists and veterinarians. These are third-party independent inspections of our farms.

Family Owned and Operated
Alexandre Family Farm is a family-owned and operated farm that is invested in our community and committed to sustainability. We are a family of 4th and 5th generation dairy farmers, with the 6th generation being raised on the family farm at the moment!
Our brand incorporates milk from several other family farms. Our partnership helps to preserve and strengthen those farms, which have obtained the certifications we require.
They are USDA Organic, A2/A2, certified regenerative through the Land to Market EOV
program, and American Humane Certified. -
